Cache Creek Meat Co. was started in 2009 by chef Brian Douglass and farm kid Kristy Lyn Levings. A small farm raising poultry, game and lamb on pasture, this farming duo gradually grew their farm to a new larger property and named it "Chowdown Farm".
Now known as Chowdown Farm, you can still find the same great product and the same great people serving in Farmers Markets throughout the Sacramento and Bay Areas. Sold in a selection of Farmers Markets, high end grocery stores, and gourmet restaurants, the product from Chowdown Farm has come to epitomize what it means to have chicken and other livestock raised on pasture at a local level.
